Investors have until 5th April to invest in a new local Enterprise Investment Scheme Fund called Angels4Bucks.
Angels4Bucks will be investing in a diverse portfolio of early stage, high growth, unquoted companies based in Buckinghamshire. Requests for funding are welcomed from all qualifying sectors.
The timing couldn’t be better for investors as the Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) offers generous income tax and capital gains tax reliefs. Investors can claim back up to 20% relief against personal income tax on EIS investments and there is no Capital Gains Tax payable on the disposal of shares after three years. The government has also indicated they might extend their support for EIS schemes further in the forthcoming budget.
Project Manager Tony Diment comments: “This is a very exciting opportunity for local investors to not only achieve profits for themselves but also benefit the economy in Buckinghamshire.”
Angels4Bucks welcomes investments ranging from £5k to £500k and is sponsored by Aylesbury Vale District Council, Wycombe District Council, Bucks and MK Innovation & Growth Team and Bucks New University.
